Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Pellet Therapy
While many health care practitioners offer pellet therapy, few specialize in this breakthrough treatment. Our patients benefit from our experience, because we know how to fine-tune the pellet therapy for each patient’s individual health profile and goals. In fact, our Founder Terri DeNeui has personally trained hundreds of medical practitioners to administer pellet therapy and is known as a leading expert in the bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) field.
We treat hundreds of patients with hormone imbalance every week, while traditional health care practices perform pellet therapy only a few times each month. For optimum BHRT results, you should only put your health in the hands of pellet therapy experts.
Recharge Your Health and Life with Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Pellet Therapy (BHRT)
Most patients prefer BHRT pellet therapy to other forms of hormone replacement therapy due to:
- Convenience (two to three office visits per year).
- Consistent, stable results (no roller coaster ride of energy levels or emotions).
- Safe and natural (produces natural levels of hormones).
- Superior results!
What is pellet therapy and how does it work?
Pellet therapy, a form of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), is one of the most effective modalities available to deliver bio-identical hormones. Most patients experience superior results over traditional methods of hormone replacement therapy and find pellet therapy is much more convenient than applying transdermal patches, messy creams or remembering to take a pill every day.
After numbing with a local anesthetic, the practitioner injects the prescribed number of tiny pellets (each about the size of a few grains of rice or less) into the fatty tissue underneath the skin. The hormones in the pellets mimic the effects of natural hormones and are slowly released into the bloodstream over time.
The pellets are not time released, rather, they release hormones into the blood stream based on cardiac output; in other words, based on how physically active or how much emotional stress, good or bad, you may be under.
Persons who get regular physical activity will release and absorb more hormones from the pellet (much like the ovaries and testes release hormones under physical or emotional stress), and those with more sedentary lifestyles release and absorb hormones at a slower rate.
The in-office procedure typically takes only a few minutes and requires minimal recovery and downtime. On average, patients require two to three pellet injections per year to regain and maintain the hormone levels necessary to feel young, energetic, healthy and vital again.
What are Hormone Pellets?
The pellets used for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) are derived from natural plant sources. Following strict federal guidelines, a compounding pharmacist extracts the precise amount of testosterone or estrogen needed and compounds the hormones into the tiny pellets.
Pellet therapy is a safe, natural alternative to synthetic hormones and is the only form of HRT that closely mimics the natural levels of hormones secreted in the body. With the steady stream of hormones delivered through pellet therapy, mood and energy fluctuations and other symptoms are kept at bay, 24/7.
Since its launch in 2009, EVEXIAS® Medical Centers has become one of the largest providers of pellet therapy in the country, treating thousands of patients. Based on a decade of treating patients with pellet therapy, founder Terri DeNeui, DNP, APRN-BC, has worked closely with FarmaKeio, a state-of-the art compounding pharmacy in Texas, to create the superior pellet formula that is used in the EVEXIAS® clinics today.
Analysis of the specially formulated pellets has revealed that most patients experience fewer complications and superior results with this proprietary formula, compared to standard pellets. With this superior pellet formula, our practitioners have been able to:
- • Minimize scar tissue and pellet extrusions.
- • Reduce the number of booster doses needed by new patients.
- • Hasten absorption of hormones to provide patients faster symptom relief.
- • Provide more consistent absorption of hormones over time.
- • MOST IMPORTANT: Increase patient satisfaction.
